Google has announced the launch of its new Machine Learning API – Cloud Natural Language API – into open beta. It forms part of its Cloud Platform expansion.
The new API service is designed to offer enterprises access to Google-powered sentiment analysis, entity recognition, and syntax analysis. Processing unstructured data and text will become an easy task. This machine learning tool will make android apps more responsive to contexts and locations.
Starting initially with English, Spanish, and Japanese, the Google Cloud Natural Language will help you understand the structure and meaning of a text in a variety of languages also in future.
The official Google site says that the new API will help you extract information about people, places, events and much more from text documents, news articles or blog posts. You can use it to understand sentiment about your product on social media or parse intent from customer conversations happening in a call center or a messaging app. You can analyze text uploaded in your request or integrate with your document storage on Google Cloud Storage
This API is powered by the same Machine Learning technology that helps Google to find specific answers to user questions in Google search. It is the language understanding system behind the Google Assistant also.
